Here’s what a persistent agent does: it learns your preferences, anticipates your needs, maintains context across months, and becomes irreplaceable because the switching cost isn’t just technical—it’s cognitive. Before You Deploy

Before you integrate an agent that remembers you into your workflow, ask yourself a single question: would you accept these same terms with a human employee? A human who keeps everything you say confidential for a fee, who could be updated retroactively to change their behavior, whose liability is genuinely unclear, who costs $200 per month and can’t be fired?

Most knowledge workers wouldn’t. Most organizations wouldn’t. But we’re shipping this as a feature, not questioning it as a choice.
